Specimen from the Genzsch & Heyse type foundry (1938)

Seemingly “Techno meets Blackletter”, it is hard to believe that this design dates back to the 1930s. Based on the Johannes-Type designed by Johannes Schulz for the Genzsch & Heyse type foundry in Hamburg, we have digitized and extended this distinctive and unusual typeface.
    JAF Johannes Original is a faithful revival of the original design while JAF Johannes features re-designed contemporary shapes for some letters.

    Champurrado is tradi­tion­ally served with churros in the morning as a simple break­fast or as a late after­noon snack. Champurrado is also very popular during Dia de los Muertos and at Las Posadas where it is served along­side tamales. An instant mix for champurrado is available in Mexican grocery stores. Champurrado may also be made with alcohol.

    Traditionell wird Steckerl­fiſch aus in den ört­li­chen Seen und Flüſſen gefan­ge­nen Renken, Weiß­fiſchen oder Brach­ſen zu­be­rei­tet, heute auch aus Zucht­fiſchen wie Forel­len und Saib­lingen ſowie Makre­len und anderen See­fiſchen. Zur Vorbereitung werden die ganzen, ausgenommenen Fische mit einer kräftigen Marinade aus Öl, Gewürzen und Knoblauch eingestrichen und der Länge nach vom Maul her auf etwa 60 cm lange, entrindete Weidenzweige oder gewässerte Holzstäbe gespießt.
